Former Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has ridiculed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, accusing it of imposing excessive taxes on Nigerians.
In a post shared on social media, Adebayo lamented the government’s unending tax policies, saying the administration seems determined to squeeze every possible source of revenue from struggling citizens.
He remarked sarcastically, “Give President Tinubu more time, and he will eventually tax the air we breathe.”
Adebayo further criticized the government’s economic decisions, including the fuel subsidy removal and the floating of the naira, which he said have worsened inflation and deepened hardship for millions of Nigerians.
His statement comes amid widespread complaints about the high cost of living, unstable exchange rates, and rising electricity tariffs across the country.
