NSCDC Katsina: 167 Officers Decorated, Integrity Urged

In a significant ceremony held on Tuesday, October 29, the Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) decorated 167 senior officers recently promoted by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

Commandant Jamilu Abdu Indabawa, leading the ceremony at the Command Headquarters, urged the newly elevated officers to exemplify discipline, dedication, and incorruptibility in their roles.

He stressed, “You must remain disciplined and committed in upholding the integrity of the Corps for the safety and security of Katsina State and Nigeria.”

Representing the Commandant General, ACG Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma of the College for Peace and Disaster Management, emphasized that promotion is an act of trust and responsibility.

Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, highlighted the importance of camaraderie among security agencies and encouraged the officers to prepare for national responsibilities.

Among those promoted were six new Deputy Commandants of Corps (DCC), three Assistant Commandants of Corps (ACC), and a range of other ranks. The unprecedented promotion marks a shift toward recognizing merit and combating stagnation within the Corps, as championed by Commandant General A.A. Audi.

The ceremony was attended by prominent service commanders and included the decoration of promoted officers and group photographs.
