…As the Gov. happy with voters turnout

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has disclosed that rural dwellers are the people that would benefit more from Local Government Elections as soon as chief executive sworn-in.
The governor made the disclosure shortly after he cast vote at Chiranchi Ward, Gwale Local Government Area today, emphasised that without the elected Chairman, the state government alone provided a lot of developmental projects across 44 local government areas.
A statement from the Governor ‘s Spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa quoted him saying.If you are conversant with my movements across the state in those few weeks ago, you will understand that Kano State has turned to rural developments we have been making efforts to ensure adequate provision of infrastructure especially commissioning of five kilometres roads dualised, installation of solar street light, empowerment construction of boreholes, primary health facilities, renovation of school, provision of farm implements and irrigation equipments,” Governor Yusuf noted.
He stressed that:”I think the rural dwellers are the luckiest as far as we are concern, these things that we have been doing without elected chairmen, now today we are electing the executive of the local government councils that will be able to talk and have direct contact with the rural dwellers, therefore, it would be unprecedented.
“My message to people is to be ready to receive more and more development in the state especially in the area of health, education, agriculture empowerment especially for our young men and women that are been looking for jobs, the should be rest assured that Kano State government in conjunction with all the 44 local government areas are going to take absolute care of their well-being, security and all that they deserve,”he assured.
Governor Yusuf maintained that those that would be elected under NNPP as chairmen and councillors are very responsible and credible personalities.
He assured that new elected local government councils leaders would not be allowed to steal from treasury, warning that any of them who deviate from provision of needful developments would be punished according to Kano established laws.
He thanked the security agencies for doing their best to maintain the existing peace in the state as well as pressmen for bringing out developmental projects being executed by present administration for public to judge.
The governor concluded
I’m very much impressed by the turnout of voters and the message is that, they should be rest assured that those they elected would live up to expectations, they will work together with the state government to ensure that all the dividends of democracy are provided as promised during our campaign 2023 and even this year during our campaign for chairmen and councillors elections.
“I must say thanks to God Almighty, People have came out enmass to to vote for the NNPP, during this local government elections where the voters are casting their votes to vote chairmen and councillors peacefully,” the statement ended.
