In a bold legal move, Dangote Refinery has petitioned the court to annul import licenses held by NNPCL, Matrix, and four other firms.
The company is also seeking N100 billion in damages from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), accusing it of unlawfully granting import permits to its rivals.
According to Dangote Refinery, the continued issuance of these licenses undermines their operations and market dominance.
The case is set to shake up Nigeria’s fuel import landscape, as industry giants face off in court.
