Katsina Customs Chief Backs Local Products at Daura Trade Fair

In line with the Nigerian Customs Service’s focus on consolidation, collaboration, and innovation, the Customs Area Controller of Katsina Command, Comptroller Abba-Aji Idris, actively participated in the opening ceremony of the 12th Daura Domestic Trade Fair.

Speaking at the event, Comptroller Abba-Aji highlighted the critical role of youth engagement in the production of locally made goods as a strategy to combat rising unemployment rates. He further emphasized the importance of defeating smuggling activities to revitalize small-scale businesses and bolster local industries.

Representing the Governor of Katsina, Deputy Governor Alhaji Farouk Lawal Jobe commended the Comptroller’s proactive leadership, noting that his efforts have transformed public perception of the Customs in the state.

Comptroller Abba-Aji expressed gratitude to the government, security agencies, and traditional rulers for their ongoing support since he assumed office.
