Nigerian Elites in position of Authority who stole funds from the Nation Treasury should repatriate the money back to the country to boost the Economy.
Dr.Aminu Yammawa an Islamic cleric stated this during a One day sensitization programme organised by Coalition of Northern Group CNG on Saturday in Katsina.
He maintained that several Nigerians that served in various positions of Authority had deepened their Fingers and stole Public Funds.
“The Elites have moved such Funds to foreign countries there by boosting their economies.
” The stealing of public Funds is completely illegal and against the teachings of religious Books”.he said.
Dr.Yammawa said that if such funds are returned to the Country it will assist in boosting the Nations Economy.
Earlier speaking,The fifths Wazirin Katsina Prof.Sani Abubakar Lugga has called on participants at the occasion to discuss extensively on the economic hardship and insecurity challenges being faced by Nigerians.
Lugga advised stakeholders to proper solutions and way out of several problems bedevilling Northern Nigeria.
Also speaking at the occasion Dr Bashir Usman Ruwan Godiya advised the Nineteen Northern Governors to reduced the high level of unemployment with a view to reduce the issue of insecurity.
Ruwan Godiya suggested that the Governors should set aside huge Funds to promote the Agric sector. and set up committees that will work hand in hand with security Agencies with the aim oof tackling Drug abuse in the Region.
