Katsina SUBEB Expend N15.3Billion for Development of Primary Education

The Katsina State Basic Primary Education Board (SUBEB) says it has
expended the sum of N15.3 Billion to construct, reliabilities primary
schools across the 34 local governments areas in the state.

Dr. Kabir Magaji Gafiya, The Executive Chairman of the Board stated
this while exchanging views with Newsmen on Thursday in Katsina.

He said that the Board had accessed the sum of N4.5 Billion as SUBEB/BESDA funds which was to provide additional classes in
several primary schools in the state.

According to him, the sum of N2Billion was spent for rehabilitation of
some selected schools under the Board while 67 classes were
rehabilitated at the cost of N900 Million.

The chairman disclosed that the Katsina stated government released the
sum of N1.5 Billion as State Special Intervention Fund.

Gafiya further disclosed that the Board had received marching grant of
N4.9 Billion from both Federal and State Government for the period of
2022 to 2024.

He commended both the Federal and State Governments for supporting
Primary Education in the State.
