Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (BAMUPWB) Executive Secretary, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris has charged management and staff of the board to embrace workplace ethics with a view to to produce best results towards ensuring the welfare of pilgrims.
Imam Abdulrahman Idris gave the charge at the award presentation to ten staff of the board who distinguished themselves in service delivery at a colourful ceremony held in Bauchi.
The Executive Secretary explained that the occasion is timely and a deliberate effort to encourage hardworking and performance of duty inline with Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
He implored upon the staff to shun unethical behaviours in the service, such as laxity and negligence, and urged them to step up and double effort in service delivery.
In their separate remarks the Director Administration and Human Resources of the board, Alh. Murtala Bawa and Director Operations, Alh Sabiu Barau Ningi applauded the Executive Secretary for setting up a precedent that motivates staff.
Highlights of the occasion is the official handover of the office of Director Finance and Accounts from the outgoing Director, Alh. Abba Ibrahim Giade who has just retired from the civil service to incoming Director, Malam Dahiru Abdulkadir who was transferred from Local Government Pension Board.
