Hajia Dr Maryam Abacha, wife of the late former President of Nigeria, General Sani Abacha, has extended her heartfelt condolences to the family of Alhaji Musa Yar’adua following the passing of Hajia Binta Dada Musa Yar’adua, mother of the late former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Hajia Maryam described the late matriarch as irreplaceable, noting that she was a blessed woman. She offered prayers, asking Almighty Allah to bless the deceased and grant her Aljannah Firdaus.
In her message, Hajia Maryam stated, “From Allah we came, and to Him we shall return. This is the limit of human capacity; the end of all is death.”
She added, “On behalf of myself and my family, I send our deepest condolences to the families of the late Alhaji Musa Yar’adua, the late General Shehu Yar’adua, and the late Umaru Musa Yar’adua. May God have mercy on her soul, and may Almighty Allah grant her Aljannah.”
Hajia Maryam also praised the late Hajia Binta’s legacy: “She was a blessed woman who gave birth to a president and a vice president, and she raised children who have been greatly blessed. She lived a long life, and we pray that God grants us the strength to follow her example. May God have mercy on her and grant her Jannah. May Almighty Allah give us the patience to bear this loss.”
Hajia Binta Dada Musa Yar’adua, the mother of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at 8 p.m. at the Katsina Teaching Hospital. She was 101 years old.
