Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has revealed that devastating floods have impacted over 2 million residents across several communities.
In an exclusive interview with BBC Hausa, Zulum highlighted the widespread damage in areas including Kofar Shehu, Chad Basin, Maiduguri, Gonge 1, Gonge 2, Gonge 3, and Teaching Hospital, Bayan Asibiti among others.
The governor called for urgent intervention as homes, farmlands, and critical infrastructure are submerged, intensifying the already difficult humanitarian situation in the region.
