In a powerful show of compassion and commitment, Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajia Hadiza Abubakar Yar’adua, has taken a bold step to support 200 vulnerable women in Katsina State. In a ceremony held at the Katsina State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) office, Hajia Hadiza distributed monetary support and mosquito nets to 100 women with special needs and 100 less privileged women.
The timely donations, aimed at mitigating the impact of the rainy season and the threat of malaria, were coordinated under the leadership of SEMA’s Executive Director, Hajia Binta Hussaini Dangani.
With the rainy season posing increased health risks, especially for the less privileged, the initiative is a much-needed relief effort.
Accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Nura Murtala, and other officials, Hajia Hadiza stressed that the initiative aligns with Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda’s vision of empowering women across Katsina.
“KUKANKU KUKA NANE KUMA KUKAN KU KUKAN HIS EXCELLENCY NE,” she declared, underscoring the governor’s role in making this project possible.
The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the donations as life-changing. With continued support from the Ministry of Women Affairs, women in Katsina are being given the tools to uplift their lives, despite the challenges they face.
