Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD CON, warmly welcomed former Nigerian Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport today.
The visit was a solemn one, as General Abdulsalami came to offer condolences to the Yar’adua family over the recent passing of Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua.
Governor Radda, alongside his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdullahi Jabiru Tsauri, and Nura Manu Soro, accompanied the retired general to the Yar’adua family residence, where they were received by Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua and family members.
In his remarks, General Abdulsalami praised Governor Radda for his significant strides in improving security across Katsina State, restoring peace and enabling agricultural revival.
“This will ensure the reduction of hunger in the state,” the general noted, reflecting on the impact of the Governor’s security interventions on farming activities.
The visit marked a poignant moment of solidarity, honoring the legacy of Hajiya Dada while highlighting Governor Radda’s efforts to secure a prosperous future for Katsina State.
