NLC Fumes Over Ajaero’s Detention, Holds Emergency Meeting Behind Closed Doors

In a fiery response to the sudden detention of its President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called out the Nigerian government for what it describes as a blatant act of lawlessness.

Ajaero was reportedly seized by Nigerian officials on his way to the United Kingdom to attend the Trade Union Congress (TUC) of Britain, where he was scheduled to represent Nigerian workers.

The NLC, in a strongly worded statement, condemned the detention as an attempt to silence dissent and suppress opposition voices.
