Governor Radda’s Steady Support Elevates Umaru Musa Yar’adua University

The administration of Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has been unwavering in its commitment to ensuring a conducive environment for Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) and other tertiary institutions in Katsina State.

Carrying forward the overhead of ₦7 million from the previous administration, Governor Radda has ensured prompt payment of UMYU’s Earned Academic Allowances (EAA), enhancing staff welfare. The university also enjoys full financial autonomy, enabling it to generate and utilize funds independently, such as through student registrations and TETFUND interventions.

Further strengthening UMYU, the administration approved ₦85.9 million for new course accreditations and ₦40 million for convocation ceremonies. The governor also settled debts for the Faculty of Agriculture’s construction and resolved outstanding contracts for hostels and labs at the College of Health Science.

Despite circulating rumors, likely driven by political opponents, Governor Radda remains committed to addressing challenges and fostering growth in the education sector.
