Amb. Comrade Dr. Rufai Mukhtar Danmaje, leader of the Northern League and President of Arewa Concerns Citizen for Development (ACCD), has lauded the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, for his significant contributions to promoting unity, mutual understanding, and national development. In a statement, Dr. Danmaje emphasized that Abbas’ leadership has brought a new era of cooperation and harmony in the National Assembly, which had been lacking in previous sessions.
Speaking during an interaction with the ACCD’s media director, Comrade Dahiru M. He further explained that the current state of affairs in the National Assembly, marked by increased teamwork and shared goals, is essential for national progress. The Northern leader pointed out that the challenges related to national integration and development have often been hindered by the lack of cohesion among members of parliament. However, under Abbas’ leadership, parliamentarians are managing these issues more effectively, leading to significant progress.
“Before now, we struggled with disunity in the legislative arm. There were always divisions among members, and it affected the smooth running of the system. But today, we are witnessing a transformation. Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas has brought everyone together, managing issues with skill and tact. This is vital for Nigeria’s development and for ensuring that we overcome challenges that have long plagued the country,” Dr. Danmaje added.
Dr. Danmaje urged Nigerians to observe the positive strides being made by the National Assembly under Abbas’ leadership. He called on citizens to take note of how the Speaker, along with other members of parliament, is working tirelessly to ensure that the legislative body plays its role in the nation’s development.
