The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has passed out the 2023 new intakes for the second time.
Speaking at the occasion , the State Commandant of the NSCDC Jamilu Indabawa explained that the passing out parade was for the second time in the history of the Command which coincided with the International Civil Defence Day.
He said the Command had organised induction training programme for two officers and 137 men out of the over 500 recruited by the Civil Defence Correctional, Fire and Immigration Service Board in 2023.
The Commandant
pointed out that the officers and men had for the past Six Months undergone series of drills, weapon handling and academic activities aimed at producing agile, dedicated and disciplined officers that will contribute toward protecting peoples lives and property.
While congratulating and welcoming the just passed out NSCDC officers and men to the Civil Defence family, the Commandant also admonished them to kit up for the Command’s resolve and commitment to maintaining the 24/7 protection of critical national assets and infrastructure among other mandates.
He therefore advised people to remain resolute and resilient during emergencies or disaster and honour gallant officers for their efforts and sacrifices as well as obliging people to be conscious of their safety to ensure a peaceful and prosperous society.
Speaking at the occasion on behalf of the state Governor, the Commissioner for Security Affairs Alhaji Nasiru Danmusa urged people of the State to support the current administration by cooperating with the Intelligence.
The Commissioner explained that lack of proper cooperation to the Intelligence militated the incessant insecurity bedeviling the state.
While congratulating the newly passed out NSCDC new intakes, Alhaji Nasiru Danmusa assured that the spirit of the state Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda is always with the Command.
He thefore charged the new intakes to conduct themselves accordingly by being just and honest in the course of carrying their primary assignment.
