Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua, the revered matriarch of the Yar’adua family and mother of late former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, has passed away at the age of 102.
The news was confirmed by a close family friend, Hamza Saulawa, who stated that Hajiya Dada died peacefully at her residence in Katsina City after a long illness.
Hajiya Dada leaves behind a legacy of resilience and strength, surviving four children, including Senator Abdulazeez Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central Senatorial Zone. Her other children include Suleiman Musa, Hajiya Hafsat Musa, and Habiba Musa Yar’adua.
The family matriarch is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reflecting the far-reaching influence of the Yar’adua dynasty.
Her burial is scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1:30 PM in Katsina State, where she will be laid to rest with the respect and honor befitting her status.
