Housing Ministry Partners with AHCN for Renewed Hope Housing Push

In a landmark collaboration, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has teamed up with the Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria (AHCN) to propel the Renewed Hope Housing Programme, a key initiative of the current administration. This partnership aims to eradicate homelessness by delivering affordable and quality housing across the nation.

During a recent meeting, AHCN President and Chairman of Council, Esv. Eno Obongha, led a delegation to the Ministry, where they pledged to support the initiative by providing 15 hectares of land in each senatorial district for housing development. The AHCN, which includes key members like the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) and the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), aims to ensure that every Nigerian has access to safe and decent housing.

Minister Dangiwa assured that the Renewed Hope Housing Programme would not tolerate the use of substandard materials, emphasizing that high-quality, locally sourced building products will be used to ensure the success and sustainability of the project. He also expressed enthusiasm for the AHCN’s Agric-Villages Scheme, which will integrate agriculture with housing development, creating job opportunities in rural areas.

The collaboration is set to boost affordable housing availability, with the Ministry committed to completing all housing projects under the programme without any being abandoned. This partnership marks a significant step forward in the mission to provide every Nigerian with a home under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
