The incident has sparked outrage, with some delegates alleging that Audu had rigged the election by handpicking loyalists as delegates while barring others from participating. The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) officials overseeing the election were also reportedly attacked in the fray. The PDP is yet to release an official statement on the shocking event.
