A New Era Begins at Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda

In a significant move for educational advancement, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha officially assumed his role as Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda on Tuesday, 13th August 2024. Known for his dedication to public service, Mustapha, the former Head of Service of Kaduna State, is poised to lead the institution into a new era of growth, development, and excellence.

During the inaugural meeting of the 10th Governing Council, Mustapha underscored the council’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and fairness. He declared the council’s mission clear: to transform Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda into the top polytechnic in Nigeria. “We are here to serve and act as partners in progress,” he stated, urging all stakeholders to rally behind the council’s ambitious goals.

Alhaji Mustapha’s vision for the polytechnic extends beyond the campus. In a gesture of goodwill, he paid a familiarization visit to the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Major Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha (Rtd). He emphasized the crucial role of collaboration between the Polytechnic, the Emirate, and the host community in achieving shared success.

In a separate engagement with students, Mustapha delivered a powerful message: avoid social vices such as cultism, drug abuse, and examination malpractice. Instead, he encouraged students to remain focused on their studies, promising that their efforts would pave the way for a bright future.

Grateful for the opportunity to serve, Mustapha expressed his deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting him with this vital role. He assured that he and the council members would honor the President’s confidence by steering the polytechnic toward unprecedented success.

The newly appointed Governing Council includes prominent figures like Hon. Uche Obiozor, Hon. Umaru Gambo, Hon. Olatunde Dare, and Hon. Muftau Adewale Egberongbe. They are joined by QS Jonathan I Mordi, Dr. Yusuf M Nasir, and Mr. Jacob Ebozoji from the Polytechnic’s administration, alongside key representatives from the Federal Ministry of Education, the Emirate, the Alumni, and the Academic Board.

With a strong leadership team in place, six dynamic schools, and 25 diverse departments, the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda is set for a transformative journey under Mustapha’s guidance. As the institution enters this new chapter, expectations are high for the polytechnic to achieve new heights of excellence and innovation.
