Nigerian Army troops under Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with hunters, hybrid forces, and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), successfully ambushed and neutralized two ISWAP terrorists in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
The operation, executed at approximately 1630 hours on August 8, 2024, was the result of precise intelligence that tracked the terrorists’ movement across the Kumala general area.
An ambush was strategically set along their crossing route from Sambisa to Alagarno Forest.According to intelligence sources, the ambush led to a brief confrontation where two terrorists were swiftly neutralized, while the rest fled in disarray.
The troops seized an AK-47 rifle, a loaded magazine, three bicycles, and various food supplies, crippling the insurgents’ operational capabilities.
This successful operation marks another significant step in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and security in Borno State.
