Former Kano State Governor and NNPP Presidential Candidate in 2023 election, Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso had urged Nigerians to prioritize patience and the power of their votes over protests.
Kwankwaso gave the charge as his response to the proposed nationwide protest over current hardships faced by Nigerians.
He attributed the nation’s struggles to leadership missteps since 2007 but emphasized that solutions lie in good governance, transparency, and accountability.
Kwankwaso highlighted recent crises, including interference in Kano’s chieftaincy, political turmoil in Edo and Rivers States, and security challenges, as avoidable if addressed properly.
“Protests, while a democratic right, often lead to violence and chaos,” Kwankwaso warned.
He advocated for peaceful change through the ballot, saying that “Our collective frustration must be channeled into effective transformation, not further destruction.
” As the nation stands at a crossroads, Kwankwaso emphasized on unity and constructive action against any form restiveness, he further warned.
