Former Senate Chief Whip, Senator Ali Ndume, has turned down his appointment as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tourism.
Ndume, who led the campaign for Senate President Godswill Akpabio, expressed discontent over his new role, stating, “I am not a tourist, so I am not interested in accepting the Chairman of Tourism. I am not knowledgeable about Tourism.
“Speaking from Maiduguri, Ndume emphasized the urgent need for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the country’s growing hardship.
“It is unpatriotic to stand by Mr. President with whatever he does.
People are not happy, people are suffering and angry,” Ndume declared, urging leaders to reassess their priorities and alleviate the suffering of the masses.
