In a heartwarming celebration of the 161st Nigerian Army Day, the 1 Brigade Nigerian Army in Gusau reached out to orphans and the needy, reinforcing its commitment to civil-military cooperation.
The Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Sani Ahmed, led the distribution of essential items such as medical supplies, writing materials, clothing, and footwear to approximately 400 orphans and needy individuals.
Students across eleven primary and secondary schools in Gusau also received exercise books, pencils, and pens.
This initiative is part of the Army’s broader efforts to support the civil community, foster goodwill, and strengthen relationships.
Brigadier General Ahmed emphasized the importance of cooperation between the military and civilians, urging the community to aid in restoring peace by providing vital information on bandit activities.
