Hajiya Halima Adamu, the mother of renowned Hausa singer Dauda Adamu, popularly known as Rarara, has been abducted from her home in Kahutu village, Katsina State.
The kidnapping occurred around 1 a.m. on Friday, when armed bandits stormed the village on foot, silently seizing the elderly woman without firing a single shot.
The abductors left other residents unharmed and quickly disappeared into the night.
A local source described the incident, expressing the village’s deep concern and hope for her safe return.
Efforts to contact Rarara have been unsuccessful, heightening the anxiety surrounding the abduction.
This event highlights the escalating insecurity in Katsina, a state grappling with frequent bandit attacks in Nigeria’s North West region.
