The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Monguno, Eng. Professor Garba Muhammed Ngala, has commended Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, for his outstanding achievements as he marks his fifth year in office. In a statement signed and made available by his media aide, Amb. Babagana Wakil, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Nigeria’s uninterrupted democracy, celebrating the achievements and contributions of leaders who have significantly impacted the nation’s progress and development.
The Rector praised Governor Zulum’s commitment to transforming Borno State, particularly highlighting his contributions to the education sector.
Professor Ngala said, 25th anniversary of democracy in Nigeria, it is imperative to acknowledge the selfless and inclusive leadership of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum. His dedication to ensuring the dividends of democracy are enjoyed by all in Borno State is truly commendable.
He reiterated that Governor Zulum’s tenure has seen significant improvements across various sectors, with education being a primary focus. The Rector noted the Governor’s approval for the construction of a 4km road network at Federal Polytechnic Monguno, as well as the construction of new hostels, as key examples of his commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure.
Governor Zulum’s contributions to the education sector cannot be overemphasized. His initiatives have greatly improved the learning environment and opportunities for our students,” Professor Ngala added.
In addition to lauding Governor Zulum, Professor Ngala extended his congratulations to President Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima for their exemplary leadership and nation-building efforts in their first year in office.
Federal Polytechnic Monguno, established in 2021 by former President Muhammadu Buhari, continues to benefit from the progressive policies and developments initiated under Governor Zulum’s administration.
