Taliban Expresses Hope, and Support Following Crash of Iranian President’s Helicopter

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Taliban expressed deep concern and solidarity with Iran following the crash of President Ebrahim Raisi’s helicopter.

“We follow the fate of the helicopter carrying the President of Iran with fear and hope,” the statement read.

“We hope that the rescue teams will be able to successfully rescue Mr. President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and their companions.

“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan emphasized its support for Iran in this difficult time, expressing hope that all aboard the helicopter are safe and unharmed.
