The huge task before His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government is security challenges and security of want.
Every day people are killed in Nigeria due to security challenges. Solution must be found ASAP.
Bandits, arm robbers and kidnappers have a field of play every day and every hour of the day. Inflation is measured by hours.
Hence, these two things will be his government litmus test before the election year 2027.
The time is short; the tenure is only 48 months or 208 weeks or 1460 days. Hence, 11 months have gone by. Meaning, it remains 37 months only.
Not only Nigeria but the entire world leaders have been under the threat of security challenges.
One can recall last week that in Sweden a bandit struck a shopping mall and killed 6 people with a knife; fortunately the attacker was shot dead by a police officer.
Sweden is in Northern Europe and one of the world’s 10 most peaceful countries in the world.
The country Sweden can be described as one of the global paradise nations based on the fact that there is absolute security of want (food, safe water for drinking, decent shelter, first class healthcare system, first class education, first class infrastructure, first class transportation system and whatever is your needs or wants in life) in that country.
But security challenges in this peaceful country are still unpredictable.
Security is paramount not only to the human person but to all creatures. Another important point as per as security is concerned is in Israel.
The most senior Israel Major General Aharon Haliva is the first Israel Military senior official to resign this week and admitted to taking the responsibility of his failure because of the fact that Hamas military attacks on October 7th against Israel was his fault because he failed to realize and communicate what happened to his country.
General Haliva took the responsibility of what happened to his country for killing more than 1,400 Israelis and more than 34,000 Palatinians and injuring more than 74,000 of them, mostly women and children.
Hence, security challenges are very very dangerous to the world’s existence and economic precarity, especially in a country like Nigeria.
Sincerely and factually, it’s the huge responsibility of every security member in any country of the world to find ways and means that his country should be secured.
Otherwise, any failure from any security officials should be faced with punishment and voluntary retirement for the fact that no nation can be in peace and economic development without competent security leadership.
Security is paramount in any country of the world.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu must give priority to security challenges that are seriously facing this resourceful country, Nigeria.
Majority of Nigerians are not sleeping well, be it at home, on the road, traveling to your village from town or from one state to another and so on.
Let alone for the economic investors to come to Nigeria and invest money for economic prosperity and development.
On the issue of security of want; the vast majority of Nigerians are not getting what they want.
Be it the issue of right food, water, clothes, decent shelter, first class healthcare, first class education, good and durable infrastructure, transportation system and generally solving stagflation in the country; inflation, security challenges, unemployment especially among the today’s generations and low industrial productions.
Therefore, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government has a lot of problems to solve in Nigeria.
On the issue of economic security and the measures taken by the CBN and other advisory boards on economy, especially the Dollar and Naira challenging each other of the two currencies; this writing understands that the measures taken cannot be a permanent economic solution for Nigeria.
Nigeria’s economic team must conduct research and learn how other African nations, Asian Tigers and Latin American countries succeeded in tackling the 10 prescriptions of IMF and WB.
Otherwise, it will take time for Nigeria to tackle and find solutions to the current economic aridity, precarity and melting economy of Nigeria.
This week the World Bank/IMF granted a $2.25B loan for Nigeria based on 1% interest (anyway not bad because this is capitalism even advanced countries are debtor nations such as US, British, China are an excellent example).
This writing said it time without number that Nigeria is becoming a debtor and beggar nation. Can the “Renewed Hope” of Tinubu’s government has the capacity, strategy for solving the problems?
The question is what will the APC party and the current President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu have for future generations yet unborn? What will the APC party and President Ahmed Tinubu tell Nigerians and the world in 2027? Democratic system has solved a lot of problems in many countries of the world.
The example of India, Brazil, China, Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, Egypt, Mexico, South Korea, Japan and many more.
Can democratic system solve the political and economic precarity and aridity in Nigeria? If not, then what will be the way out for Nigeria before the year 2030?
