NSCDC Katsina’s Co-op Soars: Record Growth at 2023 AGM

Katsina State witnessed a wave of financial triumph as the NSCDC Cooperative and Credit Society convened its much-anticipated Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024.

The gathering, held at the State Command Headquarters in Katsina, showcased the Society’s stellar performance throughout the year 2023.

Led by the State Commandant of NSCDC Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps Jamilu A Indabawa, who also serves as the Society’s Patron, accolades poured in for the Society’s exceptional management and prudence in financial affairs.

Commandant Indabawa lauded the Society’s leadership for their efficient stewardship, highlighting its critical role in helping personnel achieve their aspirations.

Represented by the State Command’s 2I/C, DCC Akpoo James Uhaa, Commandant Indabawa stressed the importance of accountability and urged Cooperative officials to remain vigilant in detecting any loopholes.

He celebrated the members’ successes and encouraged them to utilize their dividends wisely.

SC Aliyu Jamilu BK, the President of the Cooperative and Credit Society, echoed similar sentiments, expressing gratitude for the State Commandant’s supportive policies that allowed the Society to flourish independently.

He highlighted the Society’s milestones, including substantial growth in capital, increased membership, and innovative initiatives like providing interest-free loans and venturing into profitable business ventures like motorcycle trading.

The AGM’s agenda included the presentation of financial reports, the selection of an electoral committee for upcoming elections, the swearing-in of committee members, and the distribution of dividends among members.

The event not only showcased financial prosperity but also exemplified the cooperative spirit and unity among NSCDC personnel in Katsina State.
