Senator Abdul’aziz Yar’adua Assists S/Unguwa Flood Victims

Senator Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central Senatorial District has done it again as he showered 58 Sabuwar Unguwa flood victims with monetary assistance of N100,000 and a bag of Rice each.

This was to cushioning the effect of the flood that affected the victims during the past rainy season which destroyed houses and other structures in the area.

Speaking shortly before the disbursement of the assistance, Senator Abdul’aziz Yar’adua explained that the financial support followed a request from the Councillor representing Kudu III Ward seeking possible support for the victims that lost their properties last rainy season.

The senator spoke extensively on number of support programmes he initiated in an attempt to extend humanitarian gesture across the 11 local government areas of the Senatorial District.

While assuring his constituents of his determination to continue to initiating more programmes, the Senator urged the beneficiaries to always remain focus and applauded the efforts of the state Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda for initiating programmes aimed at protecting the interest of people across the state.

On his part, the the Katsina Central APC Zonal Vice Chairman Alhaji Yahaya Asasanta acknowledged the Senator’s unprecedented representation, adding that the human relations exhibited by the Senator cannot be over emphasised.

He however charged other APC elected political leaders to emulate actions being put in place by the Senator in a bid to protecting the interest of their constituents.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Screening Committee Alhaji Abu Bala Saulawa explained that the beneficiaries were selected based on the thorough investigation and screening in collaboration with the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA.

Other speakers at the occasion include the Councillor Wakilin Kudu III Alhaji Abdullahi and some of the beneficiaries who thanked the Senator and prayed for Allahu SWT to continue guiding him in all his endeavours.
