The Comptroller of Immigration Service, Katsina State Command, Muhammad Ibrahim, joined top dignitaries on Satuday at the colourful Hawan Bariki Sallah celebration held at the historic Old Government House, reaffirming the Service’s commitment to border security and community engagement.
Comptroller Ibrahim stood shoulder-to-shoulder with respected figures including the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Abdullahi Garba Faskari (representing Governor Dikko Umaru Radda), and His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, as they observed the iconic Durbar procession — a cultural jewel of the Eid al-Kabir celebrations.
In a goodwill message, CIS Ibrahim called for unity and shared humanity:
“On this blessed occasion, I urge our people to embrace unity and compassion,” he said.
He further assured the public of the Nigeria Immigration Service’s unwavering commitment to Katsina State.
“We reaffirm our dedication to enhanced service delivery, securing our borders while actively supporting our rich cultural heritage.”
The annual event, known for strengthening ties between traditional institutions, government, and the people, was marked by grandeur, horse-riding displays, and renewed patriotic fervor.
