As the countdown to the Eid-el-Kabir celebration begins, the Katsina State Police Command has sounded the trumpet of readiness! Under the watchful eye of Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, psc, fdc, MNIM, the command has rolled out a robust security deployment to ensure a peaceful and incident-free Sallah across the state.
With strategic placements of personnel and assets in high-risk areas and festive hotspots, the Command says it’s leaving nothing to chance. CP Bello Shehu reassures residents that law enforcement agencies are on high alert to thwart any attempt to disrupt the Sallah spirit.
In a stern warning, the Police cautioned against reckless horse riding, dangerous driving, unlawful gatherings, and substance abuse — vowing to clamp down on any mischief makers. “Anyone nursing malicious intentions should think twice,” the statement read.
Parents and guardians have also been urged to keep an eye on their children to avoid unnecessary trouble, while the public is encouraged to cooperate fully with security operatives throughout the celebration.
