Troops Foil Bandits’ Attack, Rescue Kidnapped Mother, Child in Matazu

Katsina state government

In a swift and decisive operation, troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, in collaboration with the Katsina State Civilian Watch Committee (KSCWC) and local vigilantes, foiled a bandits’ attack in Matazu Local Government Area, rescuing a kidnapped mother and her child.

Sources revealed to Zagazola Makama that the armed bandits stormed Ringin Gora Village around 8:30 p.m. on May 20, abducting 22-year-old Saratu Abdullahi and her child.

Acting on credible intelligence, the troops immediately launched a pursuit operation, engaging the criminals and forcing them to abandon their captives. The mother and child were rescued unhurt, while the fleeing bandits vanished into the surrounding bushland.
