The Katsina State Government has officially announced that the much-anticipated second edition of Arewa Tech Fest will be held in the state from May 20 to 22, 2025, at the Continental Event Center, Katsina.
Unveiled in a press statement issued by the Local Organizing Committee at the Katsina Directorate of ICT, the tech summit is poised to gather some of the brightest minds in Northern Nigeria’s innovation space—including tech pioneers, startup founders, investors, academics, creatives, policymakers, and changemakers—under the bold theme: “Innovation for Impact: Technology As a Catalyst for Economic Transformation.”
This announcement follows the huge success of the festival’s debut in Kano, and now aims to position Katsina as the heartbeat of Northern Nigeria’s digital renaissance.
At the center of this transformation is Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, whose visionary leadership is driving Katsina’s transition from an agrarian economy to a tech-powered, knowledge-driven society. His administration has made remarkable strides, including: Revamping KATDICT into a state-wide driver of innovation. Eliminating Right-of-Way charges to fast-track broadband access. Expanding digital infrastructure across rural and urban areas.Investing heavily in tech education and innovation hubs for youth empowerment.
“Governor Radda’s digital transformation agenda isn’t just a policy—it’s a mission,” the statement reads. “A mission to unlock human capital, diversify our economy, and equip our youth for the 21st century.”
Arewa Tech Fest 2.0 is more than a tech event—it is a launchpad for regional progress. It aims to spark meaningful collaboration between entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, government bodies, academia, and development partners in building a sustainable, inclusive digital future.
