Governor Abba Kabir of Kano State has taken a decisive step towards accountability and justice by establishing two crucial committees.
The first committee, headed by Justice Farouq Lawan, is tasked with retrieving misused public assets, ensuring transparency and accountability in governance.
Simultaneously, a judicial committee of inquiry has been formed to delve deep into instances of political violence and missing persons cases reported in Kano State between 2015 and 2023.
This move underscores the government’s commitment to addressing past injustices and restoring peace in the state.
Both committees have been given a timeline of 90 days to complete their investigations and deliver actionable recommendations.
