In a strategic move to foster inter-agency collaboration for safer roads and enhanced security, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander, RS 1.3 Katsina State Command, Corps Commander Maxwell Kaltungo Lede, paid a courtesy visit to the Katsina Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service.
Commander Lede was received with full honours, including a Quarter Guard mounted in his name, symbolizing a warm reception from the Customs leadership led by Comptroller Abba-Aji.
Speaking during the engagement, Lede emphasized the need for closer ties between sister agencies, describing the Customs Service as a “critical partner in the business of road safety and national security.”
He noted that the visit aimed to strengthen relationships, seek mutual support, and explore collaboration opportunities to create a safer motoring environment across Katsina State.
In his remarks, Comptroller Abba-Aji hailed the visit as both timely and essential, stressing that “no agency can work in isolation.”
He expressed readiness to deepen synergy with the FRSC in the shared pursuit of national peace and safety.
The highlight of the visit was the exchange of commemorative plaques between the two commanding officers, symbolizing mutual respect, partnership, and renewed commitment to service.
The visit marks a significant step in aligning the operations of both agencies for effective road management, intelligence sharing, and security enforcement in Katsina and its environs.
