In a remarkable display of efficiency and dedication, the Katsina State Police Command has successfully rescued twenty-eight (28) abducted victims. The incident occurred on April 1st, 2024, when the victims, young girls fetching firewood near Kasai village in Batsari LGA, were taken captive by kidnappers.
Upon receiving the distressing report, Commissioner of Police CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, psc+, wasted no time in deploying a specialized team to the scene. Their mission: to ensure the safe return of the victims.
Thanks to the relentless efforts and strategic tactics employed by the command, all twenty-eight victims were freed from captivity unharmed. The collective efforts of the rescue team, in collaboration with other security stakeholders, played a crucial role in this successful operation.
The pressure mounted by the command and its partners forced the abductors to release the victims on the same day, at approximately 2240hrs, bringing an end to their ordeal.
This achievement underscores the unwavering commitment of the Katsina State Police Command and its allies to safeguarding the community. The investigation continues, and updates will be shared as progress is made.
