In a fresh wave of violence in Zamfara State, five individuals were injured after suspected bandits opened fire on a moving vehicle.
According to reports from Zagazola Makama, the attack took place on May 5, 2025, when the gunmen tried to intercept a Golf 3 vehicle in motion. The driver’s refusal to stop triggered a hail of bullets from the armed assailants.
All five occupants of the vehicle reportedly sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to the Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Security forces have since launched a manhunt for the attackers, vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice.
