Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has graced the wedding fatiha of Farina Abdulrazak Yahya Daura and Idris M. Idris. The wedding Fatiha, which took place at the family house of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, attracted prominent personalities from across the country.
Distinguished guests included the immediate past Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, the State Deputy Governor, Malam Faruq Lawal Jobe, and the member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency from Kano State, Ado Alhasan Doguwa.
Also in attendance were the National Coordinator of the New Partnership for African Development, Alhaji Jabiru Salisu Tsauri, members of the State Legislative and Executive arms, the Chief of Staff Government to the Governor, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, some traditional title holders, and many other well-wishers.
In a separate event, Governor Radda attended the turbaning ceremony of two prominent personalities from Katsina State and a federal legislative member from Kano State, performed by the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruq Umar Faruq.
The three distinguished individuals honoured were the Commissioner of Environment, Alhaji Hamza Suleiman Faskari, turbaned as Sadaukin Kasar Hausa; Samir Isma’ila Musawa as Bulaman Kasar Hausa; and the member representing Duguwa Tudun Wada in Kano State, Alhassan Ado Duguwa, who was bestowed with the traditional title of Sardaunan Kasar Hausa Mai Tuta.
The historic ceremony held at the Palace of the Emir of Daura was attended by Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi; the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruq Lawal Jobe; that of Kano, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo; Senator Barau Jibrin, Deputy Senate President and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, along with some members of the State and Federal House of Assemblies. Members of the State Executive Council and traditional rulers were also present.
In his address after turbaning, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruq Umar, said, “The Emirate bestowed traditional title to only personalities who distinguished themselves in serving humanity and contributed to societal growth and development.”
Alhaji Faruq Umar Faruq also lauded Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, for his commitment in addressing security and enjoined other state governors to emulate him.
