Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a “national asset,” declaring his leadership as a blessing not only to Northern Nigeria but the entire country.
In a bold statement shared via his official handle @Bellomatawalle1, the former Zamfara State Governor stated, “President Tinubu has demonstrated an uncommon commitment to addressing the challenges facing our region.”
He didn’t hold back on critics, slamming opposition voices who he claimed were hiding behind propaganda after failing politically. “Those attacking him with propaganda are only seeking relevance after failing to secure their political future,” Matawalle asserted.
The Minister’s remarks come amid mounting political debates over Tinubu’s economic and security policies, especially in Northern Nigeria. Matawalle’s endorsement reinforces growing support for the President among key Northern figures.
Observers say the North may be rallying behind Tinubu more firmly than ever—despite the noise.
