A shocking video showing a young man allegedly licking a goat’s private parts to trend on social media has led to his arrest by operatives of the Kano State Hisbah Board.
The suspect, 24-year-old Shamsu Yakubu from Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area, was picked up Tuesday after a viral TikTok clip captured him instructing someone to film the obscene act.
In a bid to achieve online stardom, Yakubu was seen placing his mouth on the goat’s genitals, sparking outrage among residents who nearly lynched him before a community leader intervened and alerted Hisbah officials.
During interrogation, Yakubu denied actually licking the animal. “I only put my mouth near it. I’ve never done this before. I just wanted to trend,” he claimed.
The Hisbah Board, however, is not taking his actions lightly. Deputy Commander-General Sheikh Aminuddeen Abubakar described the act as “immoral and deeply un-Islamic,” revealing that Yakubu will undergo psychiatric and drug evaluation.
“The goat will also be taken to a veterinary clinic to test for possible diseases it may have contracted,” Sheikh Aminuddeen said.
He issued a stern warning to other fame-seekers: “Anyone caught engaging in shameful stunts for social media clout will be arrested and dealt with.”
The arrest comes just days after another Kano TikToker, known as “Kabiru 2-Pac,” gained massive online attention for bathing in gutter water—further fueling a wave of disturbing online behavior in the state.
