In a major breakthrough against car theft syndicates, the Federal Capital Territory FCT Police Command has arrested four notorious armed robbers and car snatchers terrorizing Abuja residents.
Acting on credible intelligence, detectives from the Life Camp Division stormed Kado village on April 11, 2025, arresting two suspects. The operation expanded to Gwarinpa, where two more suspects were captured. Among them was Mohammed Abdulazeez, believed to be the key receiver of stolen vehicles, nabbed in Wuse Zone 4.
Police sources confirmed to Zagazola Makama that the gang confessed to stealing four vehicles — two in March and two in April 2025. The State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCID) is now leading the probe, with intensified efforts to arrest the gang leader and recover all stolen vehicles.
The FCT Command reaffirmed its commitment to keeping Abuja safe and urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
