Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has called on intending pilgrims to hasten the payment of their Hajj fare increment N1,918,032.91.) as
declared by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.
The Executive Secretary of the Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris made the call while briefing press on the recent changes ahead of the 2024 Hajj excercise. Saying NAHCON has fixed 28th March, 2024 by 11:59pm as a deadline for the payment of the increment.
In a Press statement issued by the Board’s Information Officer Muhammad Sani Yunusa says the Executive Secretary of the Board
Imam Abdurrahman attributed the changes to the fluctuating nature of the exchange rates against Dollar, urged intending pilgrims to urgently do the needful in order not to miss the apportunity.
He further advised new depositors to take advantage of the period to make the full payment of their hajj fare Amounting to the the sum of N8,254,464.74.
He noted that Bauchi State has 2,290 prospective intending pilgrims who have already made the earlear full payment of N4, 699,000 Hajj fare.
Imam Abdurrahman used the forum to explain that his Board has already made a strategic efforts to inform and enlightened the general Public particularly those intending pilgrims on the development.
According to him ” We have already mobilized our traditional and religious leaders to support us and we very optimistic that the plans and measures put in place would yield positive result”.
