Katsina state government

In a powerful show of force and synergy, the Katsina State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police CP Bello Shehu, has dealt a major blow to armed banditry in the state, neutralising five (5) suspected bandits, arresting three (3) informants, and recovering nine (9) operational motorcycles in two separate intelligence-led operations.

Acting on credible intelligence, the Dandume Divisional Police Officer led a swift joint operation at about 0415hrs on April 10, 2025, ambushing bandits along the Dutsen Wori axis of Dandume LGA. The daring engagement resulted in the elimination of five armed bandits and the seizure of seven motorcycles (4 Honda, 3 Boxer) used in their terror campaigns.

In a follow-up operation hours later at 0700hrs in Danmusa LGA, another joint task force comprising police operatives, DSS agents, Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC), and local vigilantes dislodged a bandits’ hideout at Unguwar Adam and Unguwar Judo villages. The team arrested three suspected informants and recovered two motorcycles and two bicycles from the scene.
