The Nigerian Army troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have repelled a coordinated attack by suspected Lakurawa bandits on Sutti Village and Sutti Kwarakka Ward in Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred late Monday night, April 7, 2025, at about 11:30 p.m., when about 40 bandits on motorcycles, armed with rifles, stormed the communities, firing sporadically.
It was gathered that in a swift response of the troops forced the attackers to retreat and flee into the bush, after a heavy gun fire.
During the confrontation, two villagers sustained gunshot injuries one on the right hand and the other on the left leg. The injured victims were immediately taken to the General Hospital for medical treatment and are currently responding well.
