The Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters to the Yobe State Governor, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (Rtd), has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for his unwavering commitment to peace, security, and community resilience across the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam described Governor Buni as “a visionary leader whose proactive security blueprint has transformed Yobe from a frontline crisis zone to a haven of stability and development.”
He noted that under Buni’s administration, the state has witnessed unprecedented synergy between security agencies and local communities, leading to increased surveillance, rapid response strategies, and the successful rehabilitation of thousands of internally displaced persons.
“Governor Buni’s leadership has restored hope. His investment in grassroots security architecture and his hands-on engagement with traditional institutions and security formations is a model worthy of emulation,” Abdulsalam added.
He further reiterated the government’s resolve to sustain its collaboration with the military, police, DSS, and civil defence corps to maintain law and order, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
“As his security adviser, I have seen firsthand the governor’s courage and empathy. He is not just protecting lives—he is rebuilding them,” Abdulsalam declared.
Governor Buni’s security strides continue to earn accolades from stakeholders nationwide, reinforcing his place as a beacon of responsible governance in the Northeast.
