NSCDC Commandant Joins Service Chiefs to Welcome Vice President Shettima to Katsina

Katsina, March 25, 2025 – The Katsina State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Aminu Datti Ahmad fsf MADM, joined Deputy Governor Mallam Faruq Lawal Jobe and other security chiefs to receive Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima GCON, who represented President Sen. Bola Ahmad Tinubu GCFR on a condolence visit to the state.

The Vice President arrived at Umar Musa Yar’adua International Airport, Katsina, where he was welcomed by top dignitaries, including former Governor Barr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, and Secretary to the State Government Barr. Abdullahi Garba Faskari.

Shettima proceeded to the Government House (Muhammadu Buhari House) to extend condolences to Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD, CON, over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Barebari.

The event witnessed the presence of key stakeholders, including Chief of Staff Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, Chairman House Committee on Interior Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Ahmed, and Dujiman Katsina, along with members of the State Executive Council and State Assembly.

The NSCDC, under Commandant Ahmad, reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring security and order during high-profile visits and other engagements in the state.
