Abuja—In a major breakthrough, operatives of the Scorpion Squad have arrested a notorious kidnapper, Shaibu Alhaji Ahijo, 25, who had been on the wanted list of the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies.

Ahijo was apprehended at Nyanya Under Bridge on March 24 at about 6:00 p.m. following an intelligence-led operation, sources told Zagazola Makama.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted to orchestrating multiple kidnappings across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasarawa, and Benue States. He confessed to receiving ₦1 million in ransom from his most recent operation.
