A swift security operation by troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA has successfully thwarted an attempted cattle rustling in Yaba and Ruwan Sanyi villages of Katsina State.
Intelligence sources confirmed that the incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, when armed rustlers stormed the villages, attempting to cart away livestock.
Responding to a distress call, a joint security team comprising the Army, Police, and Civilian Joint Task Force (C Watch) mobilized swiftly and engaged the attackers in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to flee and abandon the stolen cattle.
All rustled cows were recovered, with no casualties or kidnappings reported. The successful operation highlights the unwavering resolve of security forces in combating criminal activities in the region.
