Rivers State has a new man at the helm—Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (CFR), a seasoned military strategist and former Chief of Naval Staff.

Born on September 27, 1960, Vice Admiral Ibas served as the 22nd Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) from 2015 to 2021, leading critical maritime security operations and strengthening Nigeria’s naval defense.
